Yes. There is a delivery charge.
No, that's a whole different business than sales.
Do you sell used scooters?
Not at this time.
Do you take scooters in trade? and ... Do you buy used scooters?
Rarely. To be fair, we'd give you a lot less than you could get by selling it yourself (say on Craig's list or the classifieds). That's because we'd have to thoroughly check out the entire scooter. A mechanical checkout takes quite some time.
No, and the banks don't sell scooters. ;-o Seriously, you can find better financing deals from your bank or your credit union. The credit unions have really good rates. You can get a personal loan. Many banks are happy to offer a personal loan for a scooter. There are even local credit unions that are open to the public. Some will be willing to offer a vehicle loan after viewing the web site and checking out the prices for the vehicle you're buying. The loan officer calls me up, asks me to fax a VIN# and price of the scooter (and perhaps the helmet as well).
Vehicle (road, off-road and water sports) financing companies have rates that can vary significantly from what seems to be the offered rate (after reading the fine print). Many also offer the dealerships incentives of 5% - 15% on all purchases made on the card.

There are two ways to get your endorsement:
1. Take a Team Oregon course. Upon successful completion, they will give you a certificate for the DMV. The DMV will then give you an endorsement with no further testing. Riders under the age of 21 are required to take the Team Oregon course to get a motorcycle endorsement.
Check their website for the various levels of courses and the requirements for each. For Intermediate Rider Training and above, you must get
your Motorcycle permit (take the written test at the DMV) first.
2. Take the written test at the DMV for a permit and then take the road test at a DMV testing location.
Read about them here. The Oregon DMV encourages new riders to take the course and for experienced riders to take the refresher course. It’s fun! The people teaching the courses love to ride and want everyone to be safe. Riders younger than 21 are required to take the course.
The cone weave consists of 7
cones. There is 15' between the cones. Every other cone is set 3' to one
side
The Swerve obstacle is 8' wide and the lane they swerve into is 8' wide.
The Sharp Turn lane is 6' wide
The Cornering Proficiency arcs are 10' wide.
Important note: Basic Rider Training - you need a valid driver's license. You will be given the written and skills tests during the course. Intermediate Rider Training - you need a Motorcycle Permit or Endorsement on your license. You will be given the skills test during the course. If you don't have a permit, you won't be permitted to take the course.

A scooter clone is not like a pc
clone. In scooter terms , what this means is that a factory has copied a scooter
model, sometimes at the prototype stage and has no design and engineering
support. Frequently they are then
built with parts that are not up to the engineering
specifications for the original equipment, which is why they
cost less , and fail far more often. This also means those companies have no
development cost, as they have
stolen the work of others. I often see scooters like this that retail for less than a TN'G scooter costs to manufacture.
Many of these companies offer no support after purchase, whether they claim
to have a warranty or not.
Some of the companies that sell on-line move around every year or sell through on-line auctions and it becomes
hard to contact them for information when something goes wrong.

Other scooter publications have also printed stories about less than reliable clones. Even scooter savvy mechanics
have reported problems with trying to get them running out of the box. We have some printed literature at the shop,
some of it free.
For your own safety, it's important that the scooter is properly assembled, inspected and taken for a test ride before you take it home. We also service what we sell and carry parts.
